Copyright and takedowns

Last updated 10 October 2026

This document is a draft and is pending legal review.

Prooger is built for creators, so protecting their work matters. If you believe a video on Prooger copies your original work, you can tell us here, and we will review it.

1Our approach

We respond to valid copyright claims by removing or disabling access to the content. We also tell the uploader, so they can respond. Claims are reviewed by a person, and we may ask you for more information.

2Before you file

  • Use a claim for copyright. If a video simply breaks our rules (for example, it is misleading or harassing), use Report from the ⋮ menu instead.
  • Prompts are public by design. When someone publishes a prompt, others may use it to make their own videos. A claim is for copying your work, such as re-uploading your video as theirs.
  • You must be the owner or authorised to act for them.

3File a claim

Open the video and copy the address from your browser.
What is it, and how does the video copy it?
A link to it, or where it was first published.
Type your full name to sign.

Making a false claim can have legal consequences. Your name and claim may be shared with the person who uploaded the video.

4What happens next

  1. We review your claim. We check that it is complete and that the video matches.
  2. We act. If the claim is valid, we remove the video and tell the uploader, including your name and the details of your claim.
  3. The uploader can respond. They can appeal the removal if they believe it was a mistake or they have the right to use the work.
  4. We decide. After reviewing the appeal, we either restore the video or keep it removed. We tell you what we decide.

5Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing videos are suspended or closed.

6False claims

Do not file a claim unless you are sure. Knowingly making a false claim can have legal consequences, and we may close accounts that abuse this process.
